The blue struggle

Here is a studio shot (not a professional photo) of what I have been working on. The horizontal lines, what I had been trying to keep, gradually disappeared. (They are whispering beneath the surface.) The paintings seem to have a life of their own and I just follow along!

I still see some horizontal ripples in the middle and (my) right sections. I am, as always, awed by the way in which you work, how you intuitively trust what you are doing, and can listen to your internal voices. It is my own biggest block.

This is a most beautyful blue!

Like you said earlier: It's amazing what very small effects and glimpses can do for a painting!

"Ripples" is a good way of expressing it, TC. The original intention in this painting was to keep the horizontal lines vivid and clear. But it didn't end up that way. And maybe it will never happen. We'll see!`

I love how the color comes out from under the blue. It's so intricate and intelligent. You just keep on getting better!
